Google's Plagiarized Content Handling Structure

Google Bot, the crawler of Google, crawls the web and find blocks of content which are similar and identifies them as plagiarized content. Actually it works like this: whenever it finds any block of content having similarities it notes down all the similarities and then calculates the amount of total similarities. Many times the content is not much similar but the idea in two or more contents is similar described by same keywords. In that case many people say that they have not copied any of the articles but even then Google is not giving them good ranking in (SERPs) search engine result pages. This is due to the fact that that Google identifies the similar nature of same keyword contents and then does not allow this type of content to bubble up in search engine rankings. It will otherwise revise the same type of results, presenting the same idea, in the search results hence affecting the quality of search. The only one result is shown from similar content category, and that is from the source having strongest online appearance when compared with others i.e., having greater back links and overall size of the website or page rank etc.

That is why Google often says to write unique and compelling content. The presentation of same idea over and over again in search result will otherwise make the purpose of search engine dead, which is to search and provide unique, quality results to its users from its database. So Google calculates the amount of relevancy between two or more articles. But one thing to keep in mind is that this only applies to the contents explained by same keywords.
